The Knight of the Week is back!!!! Each week the Knights will recognize one of our players within the program across our four teams. Our first Knight of the Week is Izzy Cabrales. The Varsity team had their first game of the season, a pre season game against West Chester East. The Knights got on the scoreboard in the first period when Izzy Cabrales scored his first Varsity goal, assisted by… his brother Danny Cabrales! The Knights and Vikings would be tied at 1 at the end of the first. Sam Norton would score in the second and a goal by the Vikings made it 2-2 at the end of two. Chris Silvotti scored and a goal by West Chester East made it 3-3 with about 8 minutes left in the game. With an offensive zone draw and about 6 and a half minutes to go, Chris Silvotti won the faceoff back to Izzy Cabrales who came in and went bar down for the game winning goal! The Knights would add one more goal by Tyler Evans (his first Varsity goal as well) and win the game 5-3. Izzy finished the game with two goals and one assist as the Knights picked up their first win of the season as the journey begins. The Varsity team is set to build on the success from last season. Congratulations Izzy on Knight of the Week!

This week’s Knight of the week is Owen Deeley. The JV Knights kicked off their season Wednesday with a pre-season scrimmage against CB South. Owen scored the first goal of the season midway through the first period on a nice deflection in front of the net. The Knights would go on to score 3 more goals in route to a 4-1 victory. Owen’s aggressiveness in the offensive zone led to many turnovers and scoring opportunities. Defensively, he was a huge part of getting pucks out of the zone and preventing opposition scoring chances. This was a very promising start for the JV Knights as they look to compete for a JV championship this year. Congratulations Owen on being this week’s Knight of the Week!

This week’s Knight of the Week is MSAAA player Sammy Delucia.
Sammy got his first goal for AAA by going hard to the net and not giving up on the play. Additionally, he played very well positionally and worked to get back and support the defense. On the bench he supported his teammates throughout the entire game with his positive attitude. Way to go Sammy!!

This week’s knight of the week goes to Andy Norton. Andy played his second varsity game, the SHSHL season opener against CB East last Wednesday where the Knights won 4-0. Andy was excellent in net making all 18 saves and picking up his first Varsity shutout. Andy had some big saves that were needed at key times as the score was 1-0 after two periods before the Knights scored 3 more goals in the 3rd period. Andy was also very active in playing the puck giving the Knights even more of an advantage. Andy is in his first season on the Varsity team and we are excited for what he and the rest of the Varsity team can accomplish this season.
Way to go Andy as this week’s Knight of the Week!
This week’s Knight of the Week is Derek Lugura. Derek returned this week from injury and was instrumental in two victories for the Knights this past week. On Friday, the JV team won 7-6 over Lasalle and Derek helped lead the team to the win with a goal and assist and some great overall hard work. Way to go Derek and congrats on Knight of the Week!
This week’s Knight of the Week is Trae Boykin on our MSB team. Trae helped lead the young Knights to a 3-2 win over a tough PW team on Sunday. Trae contributed his first goal of the season and an assist but it was his positioning and hard work in the defensive zone that helped hold on to the victory. Congrats Trae on this week’s Knight of the Week!
This week’s Knight of the Week is MSAAA Franny Flanagan! The Knights MSAAA won a hard fought game against number 1 seed Pennsbury giving them their first loss of the season. This week’s Knight of the Week is Grace Zander. The Knights MSAAA team had a big win over Neshaminy 3-0 this past Sunday helping the Knights move into a tie for first place. Grace was questionable going into the game as she played through sickness. Not only did she play, but she played a full 200 foot game to help lead the Knights to victory. She led the charge defensively for the forwards by Back checking and her puck possession in all 3 zones along with her pressing the pace for the offense on the attack. Way to go Grace and Congrats on being this week’s Knight of the Week.
This week’s Knight of the week is Middle School goalie Blaine Masters-Weaver. Blaine was called up to the MSAAA team On Sunday to fill in for MSAAA goalie who was unavailable and played outstanding in net! The team was playing the 4th place team but all of the top 4 teams are battling for those top two spots. The high stakes did not phase Blaine as he was outstanding in net. Congratulations to the Knights on the Win and Big Congrats to Blaine for being this week’s Knight of the Week!
