ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LEARNING TO PLAY ICE HOCKEY?

North Penn Ice Hockey offers its school district students 2 programs to develop their hockey and skating skills, as well as 2 team programs to play competitively.

  • Learn to Play
  • Practice with the Team
  • Middle School
  • High School

LEARN TO PLAY

Learn to Play Ice Hockey Program is designed to teach the basic hockey skills needed to play organized ice hockey. These basic skills include skating, stick handling, passing and shooting. The program will also incorporate some fun small sided games into the program to make the experience enjoyable for all the participants. Instructors are North Penn Ice Hockey coaches from the Middle School and High School programs, as well as, some of the NP players.  These clinics are offered many times during the year and typically are 5 on-ice sessions. Participants must be in 1st-5th grade and attend a North Penn Elementary school.

Practice with the Team

Practice with the team is an extension of our Learn to Play program where participants practice with our middle school team once a week during the season.  We evaluate the opportunity to have 4th graders practice with the team following try-outs in September.

The program is geared for the player who wants more ice time, but is not old enough for middle school hockey. The number of practices range from 20 practices to 30 practices. Participants will not play any SHSHL games. Participants need to be in 4th grade. Interested players should email the club at NPKnightsIceHockey@Gmail.com.
